I always knew I wanted to work with people on their journey toward optimum health. From an early age I was naturally drawn to healthcare by my mother, who is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner. Even though I did not like the idea of the "Medical Model" of treating a symptom with drugs, my interest drove me to research further into natural healing. That's when I became interested in Chiropractic care.
At first, I thought Chiropractic was just about the relief of pain, but later learned it was much more. My education at Life University in Marietta, GA taught me that nerve interference may hold an important key to finding and maintaining true health. By opening up the nervous system through a gentle-low force Chiropractic adjustment, the body can communicate to each organ and system better to help restore function and provide healing from within. This revelation brought an excitement and dedication to my lifelong passion for health.
As a practicing chiropractor for over 16 years, it is important for me to evaluate not only the physical, but chemical and emotional components of health. Functional Clinical Nutrition is one way I do this. Through Blood work Analysis and other specific testing I can hone in at a deeper level with specifically designed nutrition to achieve a more optimal health status. Whether it is a hormonal issue, anxiety, Irritable bowel, digestive issues, or ADHD, to name a few, when health can be improved, I have seen amazing things happen. Sometimes emotions can get “stuck” in organs, which can create these physical ailments as well. By opening up these pathways through Low Level Laser or a variety of other methods, I have seen even deeper healings take place.
I do believe it is truly amazing when a person takes charge of their own health through alternative methods. The remarkable changes I have seen just with my patients amaze me everyday and with this statement by B. J. Palmer, I believe holds true, “The power that made the body – can heal the body.”
